Coming Soon-New Phone System

We have long been aware that there are big issues with the way that our current phone system works both for patients and staff.  It has been far from ideal for a long time, and we worked hard with the provider to reduce the problems, but without success. We came to the conclusion that the only option was to change companies. So recently we turned our attention to finding an alternative that will be much better for everyone, and are pleased to say we have now reached an agreement with a new provider.

The future system gives us many new benefits, such as:

• A more reliable service – no more being cut off when you are next to be answered.
• Place saving call backs – rather than waiting on hold, request the service to keep your place in the queue and call you back when you are closer to being answered.
• More accurate information – Reception will see when demand is high, and have the flexibility for more staff to answer calls at busy times.
• Self-service options – be able to check your upcoming appointments and cancel them without needing to wait in a queue.
• And…better hold music with voice messages keeping you updated on your progress.

We do not have a set date for the new provider to start, but we are optimistic that it will be before the end of the year and we will keep you updated as we progress.

We will put this information out on social media, our website, and on the screens in our waiting rooms, but please feel free to share this information with any local groups or people may not see these areas.
